FC Monmouth Announces Whirl Construction As Its Official Parks and Recreation Specialist

April 1st, 2024

FC Monmouth is thrilled to announce Whirl Construction as our Official Parks and Recreation Specialist going into our 2024 NPSL season.

Whirl Construction, a FC Monmouth founding member in 2018, is based out of Port Monmouth NJ. The company has been serving the tri-state areas parks and rec needs for the past 42 years.

Currently lead by Jay Davis, a Middletown native, Whirl are excited to be apart of the ever growing community that FC Monmouth have built.

Davis was a founding member of St. Mary’s Soccer club, now known as Monmouth United and coached at the club for 10+ years in the Monmouth County area. He first began his involvement with FC Monmouth playing in local adult soccer leagues with the team’s ownership group.

“We (Whirl) are a big supporter of local sports in Monmouth County. Dating as far back to the 1980’s when our founder and current president Jim Davis was president of BYAA (Bayshore Youth Athletic Association) and coached several of the teams that our family members played on. That transitioned into me coaching my son for many years in basketball and soccer in Middletown.” Davis explained.

Whirl help turn its customer’s dreams into reality, as they are there to turn concepts into completed projects. The company’s mainstay is playground installation, but specialize in other park amenities such as shelters, bleachers, gazebos, pavers, concrete work, and more.

“We have some very exciting projects upcoming. We have recently partnered with Eric Legrand to speak at and to help us open up more and more accessible playgrounds for all children and adults to enjoy. In Monmouth County specifically, we are currently working on a project in Middletown that is set to be completed in May. We are also rebuilding the playground at Monmouth County’s Seven President’s Park in Long Branch” says Davis.

With many new projects on the horizon for Whirl, the company is looking forward to the future. As well as to what the FC Monmouth season has in store.

“This summer I am looking forward to doing what will help our team (Whirl) get to the next level. Regarding FC Monmouth, I am looking forward to checking out some exciting play on the pitch at Count Basie Park with even more people in the stands!” Davis exclaimed.
