Fall Recap: FCM Stars Excel in College Soccer Programs Nationwide

Red Bank, NJ — December 22, 2025 — FC Monmouth is dedicated to developing top soccer talent, with many current and former players making significant impacts at the collegiate level. From freshmen to experienced captains, our athletes represent Monmouth County across the country. The club features former and future roster members from across the state, continuing a tradition of excellence on and off the field.

This season also marked a significant milestone for FC Monmouth, as 23 FCM players qualified for the NCAA Tournament, the most in the club's history. Along with individual success, other FCM athletes contributed significantly to conference titles, tournament runs, and all-conference performances in Division I, II, and III programs.

Spotlight on current collegiate players (Fall 2025 NCAA Season):

Aidan Tisony - Midfielder, Senior, Seton Hall (Ocean): Tisony had a strong start to the fall, scoring three goals and starting in multiple matches for the nationally ranked Pirates before a season-ending injury in October.

Alexis Garcia - Forward/Midfield, Sophomore, LaSalle (Toms River): Garcia scored three of her five goals this season in just five minutes, and was selected A-10 Player of the Week, demonstrating her ability to make an immediate impact in critical situations.

Allie Nase - Midfielder, Freshman, FDU (Howell): Nase had a fantastic rookie season, appearing in all games and scoring two goals and one assist for the Knights.

Allie Serlenga - Forward, Sophomore, Miami: After transferring to Miami this season, Serlenga scored her first goal for the Hurricanes on Aug. 28, 2025 to seal a 3‑2 comeback win vs. Lipscomb Bisons.

Ava Gialanella - Defender, Freshman, Northeastern (Barnegat): Gialanella started nearly every game, scoring one goal and assisting once, while anchoring the Huskies' defense and helping the squad record three conference shutouts. Her outstanding rookie season earned her a spot on the CAA All-Rookie and All-Conference, showing her effectiveness in anchoring the Huskies back line.    

Angela Dinh  - Midfielder, Senior, Stevens (Marlboro):  Dinh had a great senior season for Stevens, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist while playing a consistent role in the midfield.  Her contributions earned her Third Team All-Conference recognition and a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team, emphasizing her consistency and leadership throughout the season.                                        

Abby Stephens - Midfielder, Senior, Arcadia (Lacey): As the Knight’s team captain, Stephens had a great season, scoring six goals and six assists while starting every game. Stephens' effort won her All-Conference honors, capping off an excellent senior season.

Davide Caputo - Midfield, Senior, Rowan University (Brick): Caputo has been a key player for Rowan this season, appearing in every game and starting nearly all. Scoring four goals and providing five assists, he earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference honors. After a standout summer with FC Monmouth, where he was named to the Northeast Conference Team of the Season, Davide has carried that momentum into his junior year for the Profs.

Eddie DeMarco - Goalkeeper, Junior, Marshall College (Monroe): DeMarco had a great showing in net during his appearances for the Bison, receiving Sun Belt conference player of the week accolades and recording four consecutive shutouts during the regular season. His presence has been crucial to Marshall's defense this season. His consistency in goal has helped Marshall climb to No. 17 in the national polls and led his team to a conference final appearance as well as a NCAA tournament appearance.                                                                          

Eric Sadlocha - Defender, Sophomore, NJIT (Sayreville): Sadlocha continued off of his summer success, where he was named to the Northeast Conference team of the season, and played nearly every minute this season and was incredibly consistent, most notably earning a shutout against nationally ranked UConn, distinguishing himself as a major contributor for NJIT’s back line.

Jake Homowitz - Midfielder, Senior, Rowan (Tinton Falls): As team captain for the Profs, Homowitz started every game and contributed three assists, providing leadership and skill in guiding Rowan to the NJAC Championship and on a NCAA Tournament run to the Division III Sweet Sixteen. He was named Second Team All-NJAC and received All-Conference honors, building off his standout FC Monmouth season where he earned Conference Team of the Season honorable mention.

Josh Jerome - Midfielder, Freshman, Rutgers (Freehold): Jerome scored his first collegiate goal on Sept. 26, 2025, helping Rutgers to a 2‑0 win over the nationally ranked Ohio State Buckeyes and demonstrating a promising start for his collegiate career to build off of with the Scarlet Knights.

Kianna Barber - Forward/Midfield, Sophomore, West Chester: Barber had a standout season, scoring game-winning goals and earning two conference player of the week awards. She earned second team all region honors. Barber helped drive the 15th-ranked West Chester University women's soccer team, which won the PSAC East Regular Season title outright for the first time since 2022, and she scored the game-winner to lift the West Chester University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over top-seed Shepherd in the Atlantic Regional Championship game, advancing to the NCAA Division II elite eight. Barber capped off her season being named a United Soccer Coaches 3rd team All-American.

Lawrence Mancino - Defender, Sophomore, TCNJ (Holmdel): Mancino helped TCNJ finish second in the NJAC in goals against average (1.00) and had a solid start to his debut season with the Lions. He also scored two game-winning goals against Penn State Berks and Keystone during the non-conference season, establishing himself as one of TCNJ's top aerial threats from set pieces. His outstanding season garnered him NJAC Second Team honors and All-Conference honors.

Marley Besser - Defender, Freshman, UMBC: Besser has appeared in every match this season for the Retrievers, starting five and contributing critical minutes to UMBC's lineup.                                               

Molly McCann - Midfielder, Junior, Stevens: McCann was a key player for Stevens this season, with two goals and one assist.  She was named First Team All-Conference and United Soccer Coaches All-Region, highlighting her role in guiding the Ducks to a conference championship.

Nate Anevski - Forward, Junior, FDU (Wayne): Anevski scored a goal against Columbia University and has been a consistent offensive threat for the Knights this season in which they secured a NEC championship alongside FC Monmouth teammate Andrew Araya. 

Noah Jones - Defender, Junior, Stockton (Freehold): Jones, Stockton's captain, started every game and had an excellent all-around season, leading the team's defense while also contributing offensively. Leading the Ospreys to a second place finish in the NJAC standings.

Jack Longo - Midfielder, Graduate Student, Ithaca (Tinton Falls): Longo, a captain for the Bombers, started every game this season and recorded two assists, giving leadership and consistent minutes for Ithaca.

Payton Meara - Defender, Midfielder, Mount St. Mary's (Toms River): Meara scored her first career goal this season while playing a constant role for the Mountaineers.

Peyton Gallagher - Midfielder, Sophomore, Mount St. Mary's (Toms River): Peyton started nearly every match, assisted twice, and anchored the Mountaineers' midfield.

Reece Paget - Forward/Midfielder, Freshman, Seton Hall (Lacey): Paget recorded her first collegiate assist on August 21, 2025 in a match vs. Iona Gaels—setting up a goal right before halftime—which snowballed into a  great freshman campaign with the Pirates. Paget recently announced that she will be transferring to the University of Akron for the spring semester.
Obed Opoku - Forward, Sophomore, Amherst: Obed appeared in all games, scoring two goals and two assists while giving a strong presence in Amherst's attack.

Victoria Pungello - Midfielder, Senior, West Chester (Jackson): Pungello had a fantastic season, receiving conference player of the week accolades and second team all region as one of West Chester’s captains, who finished the regular season ranked #1 in the Atlantic region and winning the Atlantic Regional Championship Match, making it to the NCAA Tournament elite eight where she had the opening assist in the match.                                   

Stella Saad - Forward, Freshman, Swarthmore (Rumson): Saad kicked off her freshman campaign well at Swarthmore. Playing in all fall matches, netting two goals, and helping the garnet reach the sweet sixteen of the Division III national championship.                                                                                       

Renee Wanzor - Defender, Sophomore, Loyola (Jackson):  Wanzor had a great season with numerous starts, demonstrating consistency and leadership throughout the year for Loyola.

“We’re incredibly proud of our 70 players who competed across the country representing their hometowns across New Jersey and the club.” Says General Manager James Davis. “They’re reaching new heights this year which is great to see. I hope each player is able to take these experiences with them to carry over not only into our 2026 season but also as they step into their future aspirations post grad.”
