FC Monmouth Hosts Record Breaking Field Trip Day With Over 500 Local Students
Red Bank, NJ- FC Monmouth delivered an unforgettable community experience this past Friday, hosting its first ever Field Trip Day and welcoming more than 500 students from Red Bank Middle School, Red Bank Charter School, and Monmouth Day Care Center.

The event brought together youth from across the borough for a day centered on health, wellness, and soccer. Students began the morning with an interactive pre-match clinic led by Just Sports Training and Sets of Middletown, focusing on fitness, movement, healthy habits, and soccer skills in a fun and engaging environment alongside Monmouth County’s Semi-Pro players.
Following the clinic, participants took part in a historic moment for the club, forming what General Manager James Davis is claiming as the largest player walkout in semi-pro soccer history. Hundreds of students lined the pitch, creating an electric pregame atmosphere as players were introduced onto the field.
Red Bank Regional Student Helena Lecompte sang the national anthem, followed by a ceremonial coin toss from Red Bank Borough’s Governor’s Teacher of The Year Diana Archilla.

“It was simply an incredible moment.” Davis explained. “Seeing the smiles on hundreds of kid’s faces is the reason why we do what we do. Given the preseason aspect of the game, we were able to get creative to provide an up close experience that we would not be able to on a typical gameday, because of that, we had every student fully engaged and involved in the festivities.”

The excitement carried into kickoff, where FC Monmouth recorded a preseason attendance record of 608 fans. The match included giveaways, prizes, and on field activities for all. Including a one on one autograph session with the players on the field post match. The intrasquad match concluded at a 2-2 draw, with goals scored by Timothy Wilk, Lenny Aviles, Davide Caputo, and Little Silver local Brett Sieg.
“This event is what FC Monmouth is all about,” said Davis. “Connecting with the students in this fashion in the borough that we’ve called home for 9 years is something I have wanted to see come to life since day one. We were able to promote healthy lifestyles while also creating memorable experiences for kids across Monmouth County. Seeing over 500 students energized and engaged was incredible. We hope to have the students out through the remainder of our 2026 season in their backyard to cheer on both our men’s and women’s teams, and to create more memories that will last a lifetime.”
FC Monmouth now turns its attention to the 2026 regular season home opener, set for Saturday, May 9th at 7:00 PM against Kensington SC at Count Basie Park in Red Bank. Fans are encouraged to come out and build on the momentum of a record-setting preseason.

The match is the club’s second annual Monmouth County Night, which will feature a ceremonial kickoff to the season pre match led by Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone, accompanied by fellow Mayors and Council Members from across the county.
