Red Bank, NJ - FC Monmouth, Monmouth County's men's and women's soccer team is excited to announce a historic partnership with Monmouth County Tourism for its 2026 season. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup bringing global attention to New Jersey and Philadelphia, this partnership will help connect visitors and residents to a variety of events, local businesses, historical sites, and cultural places that make Monmouth County unique. Together, FC Monmouth and Monmouth County Tourism will work towards welcoming visitors, uniting residents, and celebrating both the World Cup and the spirit of Monmouth County during this unforgettable season.
“With the FIFA World Cup coming to New Jersey this June, Monmouth County is thrilled to welcome visitors from around the world,” said Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “Monmouth County is the perfect destination for fans seeking to experience beautiful beaches, vibrant downtowns and a thriving dining scene.
As global attention turns towards the region, Monmouth County is expected to see an increase in tourism. FC Monmouth and Monmouth County Tourism will work together to promote county-wide initiatives, including Brewed in Monmouth, Grown in Monmouth, Made in Monmouth, and Sliced in Monmouth, while encouraging visitors to explore beyond match days. Commissioner Director Arnone displays his excitement daily for this upcoming season:
“For those unable to attend matches at MetLife Stadium, local establishments and municipalities throughout the County will be hosting watch parties, giving fans a fun way to cheer on their favorite teams while supporting local businesses,” Commissioner Director Arnone added. “The World Cup also presents an incredible opportunity for our small businesses and tourism industry. It’s not only a fun event but an economic boost for the County.”
“With World Cup matches being played in both New Jersey and Philadelphia, 2026 will be a landmark year for the sport and for our community,” said James Davis, General Manager of FC Monmouth. “We are proud to partner with Monmouth County Tourism to help welcome visitors, celebrate local businesses, and showcase everything Monmouth County has to offer.”
“As a lifelong soccer fan and advocate for fitness, I know how valuable this club is to our community,” said Commissioner Director Arnone. “FC Monmouth offers more than a semi-professional soccer club, it offers pathways for players to develop their skills and potentially reach professional levels, while also serving as a community-driven organization, dedicated to giving back.”
With multiple World Cup matches scheduled at MetLife Stadium and more than one million projected visitors to the New York and New Jersey area, the partnership positions Monmouth County as a key destination within the broader tournament experience. Together, FC Monmouth and Monmouth County Tourism are committed to welcoming visitors, uplifting local businesses, and celebrating an unforgettable year for Monmouth County in 2026.
To kick off the celebration, FC Monmouth will be hosting Monmouth County Night for its regular season home opener on May 9th at 7 p.m. at Count Basie Park in Red Bank. All government officials from all 53 municipalities are invited to join in on the fun at Count Basie Park and will receive free admission to the match.
“We are proud to partner with a club that offers youth programs for players of all levels, providing opportunities for quality coaching while promoting fitness, confidence, teamwork, and positive values that will stay with young athletes for a lifetime,” Commissioner Director Arnone said.
