After coming out of a tough test at Atlantic City FC and fighting for a draw at home versus Philadelphia Lone Star FC last week with four points in their pocket, FC Monmouth will return to action on Saturday night on the road at Hershey FC.

Both FC Monmouth and Hershey had the benefit of a full week to prepare for Saturday’s match, with Hershey last playing on Sunday when they drew 2-2 at Atlantic City. Hershey FC is 0-2-2 so far in 2019.

Last season, FC Monmouth defeated Hershey, 2-1, at Count Basie Park. After heading into the half-time break up 1-0, FC Monmouth conceded an equalizer in the 47th minute. Thirty minutes later, a dazzling solo effort from defender Thomas Judge went on to be the game-winner.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES

“This week we had great weather, we had two very good training sessions, [and] I hope that it helps us… I’m just hoping that when the boys show up, they know what to do and we get it done… I’m happy with what we’ve done so far in training and hopefully it shows on Saturday.” - Head Coach Brian Woods

“I’m feeling very confident and excited — I’ve never been to Hershey before. But as Coach Woods said, we can’t be unprepared and [go into the game] thinking we’re gonna win. We have to put a full effort, because they’re gonna be playing just as hard as us.” - Midfielder Sam DeCencio
